Lyrics :
I wake up early, before the sun
Snooze a few times, then it’s time to put ‘em on
With all my brothers, or on the road
They’re always with me, winter summer spring or snow

I got this mirror in my pocket
Got my Siddur on my phone
Tzizis, Kipah or a Hat if you wish, ohh.
Now I’m strapped in, locked in, ready, to say mo-odeh Ani,
It’s my privilege feel so lucky, so we Klap

And when you wear this special hide
You can feel it deep inside
You can pray You can sing
So wear Teflilin, wear Teflin, wear Teflilin
Wear ‘em, share ‘em, pray to G-D with them, Wrap, wrap, wrap, wrap,
Now don’t be shy, your bro needs a try
just wrap, wrap, wrap, wrap
Everyday except Saturday
I wrap, wrap, wrap, wrap
Grandpa does it, and my Pops, we keep wrappin

When I was 13, became a man
Started wearing my Tefilin on my hand
And now I’m trying, to teach the world
‘Bout this Mitzvah, our duty, our call

The words of “Raykum Al T’shivaynu” articulate every Jew’s silent plea that Hashem answer his tefilos and fulfill his bakashos. As we turn our eyes heavenward, we pray that our tefilos will be accepted, and that the Borei Olam- who knows us better than we know ourselves – will look upon us favorably and with rachmanus.

The song is dedicated to the Refuah Sheleima of a dear chaver. We plead for Hashem to give him and all of our struggling brethren the chizuk to overcome the seemingly impossible challenges being faced each day. Whether asking for help with physical, emotional or financial issues, we offer our hearfelt tefilos to hashem and ask that in his unlimited mercy Raykum Al Tishiveinu.

Blue Melody ft. Levy Falkowitz & Shira Choir

Lyrics:

The Shevet Achim Ensemble With Guest Star Chilik Frank in Chanukah Melodies

$

The Shevet Achim Ensemble, has released a new and fourth album for Chanukah this time with guest star Chilik Frank! The album features Chanukah melodies, on acoustic instruments in a style influenced by klezmer and classical elements.

Shevet Achim began as a family ensemble some thirteen years ago when the Kohn brothers and sisters recorded a disc as a fiftieth wedding anniversary gift for their parents. Since then it has developed into a highly professional music group, embracing other outstanding musicians, yet retaining the family warmth and atmosphere. Their music has been highly praised by musicians and laymen alike. (“Top notch”, maestro Evgeny Tsirlin)

Beyond the artistic dimension, the music harks back to the inspiration of King David and the Levites, and aims at drawing the Shechina to dwell among us. The harp, violin, flute, Chilik’s clarinet, piano, cello and string bass are also reminiscent of a time long ago, reinforcing the meaning of the title taken from the blessing of the Chanukah lights, “Bayamim Hoheim Bazman Hazeh.”

Dvorah, the flutist and arranger speaks of a special meaning this Chanukah album has for her. “In the time of the oppression of the Jews behind the Iron Curtain in the USSR, my husband used to light the Chanukah candles at home before Shabbat, and then walk over 25 kilometers in the freezing deep snow in order to pray with a minyan in the morning, have a Shabbat meal and learn Torah with his friend. I believe that our opportunity to share the warmth of this Chanukah music , flows from his snowy footsteps behind the Iron Curtain.”

The words of Acheinu Kol Beit Yisrael are very powerful at times of great difficulty for Jews. Ovadia Hamama felt very connected to these words during the time when the three boys were captured and killed two years ago.

Just one day before the bodies of the boys were found, there was a mass prayer rally in Rabin Square in Tel Aviv with R’ Dovid Lau and R’ Shmuel Eliyahu. At the rally, they sang Acheinu over and over. He then composed this new tune for the words, for which he recruited Yehoram Gaon to sing.
