The Little Girl Got Sick, And Her Father Sang For Her Refuah “V’Tihiyeh B’Ezri”

This new song, V’Tihiyeh B’Ezri of Meir Chertekov is different than most other singles that are released on a daily basis. Meir is not looking to become famous, and is not trying to become a major singer, but when a tragedy struck his family he found himself finding comfort only in his music and he is releasing as a result of it his first single. He also is beginning to perform as well.

“About three years ago my wife and I experienced a major catastrophe, when my daughter Malkah Bat Rachel Hodaya became extremely sick. This was like a signal straight from Hashem, and it felt like a rope had been thrown straight down to me to become closer to Him. I saw that R’ Nachman from Breslov teaches that every person has a moment in his life in which he is able to feel what exactly is his purpose in his life, and change his entire world for himself. That moment had come.”
“I went somewhere quiet and poured out my heart to Hashem, like R’ Nachman suggests, and when I got to the line in my Tefillah of “V’Tihiyeh B’ezri V’Toshieini U’Tezakeini Lefareis Sichasi Lefanecha B’Chol Yom V’Yom, V’es kol asher im levavi asicha lefanecha” – I simply screamed and cried it out. I cried from the walls of my heart to Hashem. Somehow, I felt like Shomayim was listening to my situation and the situation of my daughter, and thus I found myself singing this tune. A few days passed and the Niggun was pouring out of me from my heart and my mouth. There was something in it that wouldn’t leave me alone. That’s when I decided to share this with others, to give them that same comfort it gave to me through the advice of R’ Nachman.” Meir turned with his composition to arranger Ari Farkash who wrote the arrangement for the song, and Itzik Filmer wrote the vocal arrangement.

Dedicated in loving memory of my best friend Chaim Kasnett.

Chaim was a helper and a connector. He saw the good in people and the beauty in the world and the humor in any and every situation, no matter where he was. He took the time to listen to people, to really listen to their stories and share their perspective; he made friends with anyone and everyone and never once judged someone by their religious observance, beliefs, background or history. I”ll miss you forever bro!

Over the past several years, the world has been introduced to Reb Pinchas Wolf, a talented chazzan who has composed hundreds of niggunim. While those who live near Reb Pinchas have the privilege of hearing him daven for the amud every Shabbos Mevorchim, it’s time for fans all around the world to hear him sing one of his special niggunim himself.

PRESENTING: Sholom Aleichem, the newest single from Reb Pinchas Wolf, from his upcoming album: Shirei Pinchas 4. When a composer sings his own song, there is a special connection that resonates with the listener. Although there are many famous Sholom Aleichem’s, all those who hear Reb Pinchas’ agree that it’s special. His Sholom Aleichem is the type of niggun that is so catchy, anyone can pick up on it. With Reb Pinchas’ impressive background in chazzanus, you are sure to hear some of the powerful tones in his voice even at his advanced years. While recording the demo for Shalom Aleichem, producer Doni Gross suggested that Reb Pinchas sing this niggun himself as he sings it with such feeling. So, for the first time, Reb Pinchas will be featured singing not one, but five of his own niggunim. The album is slated for release this fall iy”h. In the meantime, you can enjoy the previously released Yom Yom, starring vocalist Dovid Lowy as both a song and music video, as well as this new release, Sholom Aleichem.

Recently Dedi Graucher received a very special composition, and got very excited from the song and the words, and decided to record it. Dedi then turned to his friend, singer Shloime Gertner, whom he met at one of the HASC concerts, and since then has become good friends, and the two of them performed this song as a duet. They turned to arranger Yanky Cohen to write the arrangement and produce the song, called Bayis B’Yisroel. They then invited the Yedidim International choir into the mix, as well as the Shir Hallel children’s choir, after which Eli Lashinsky finished the mixing job on the song.

On the heels of two well received albums (Achake Loi, Toiv Lee), Levy Falkowitz shares his new hit song, Toiv Lee, in a heartfelt visual celebration of the moments and memories surrounding a precious Sefer Torah.

His latest collaboration with composer Hershey Rotenberg, producer Avrum Mordche Schwartz and arranger Yoeli Dikman, and featuring the Yedidim choir, Toiv Lee is a song filled with both joy and gratitude, a recognition of how much of one’s life in intertwined with Toiras Picho, the Torah of Hashem.

From a sofer sitting alone in a room writing a Sefer Torah’s first words, to a Bar Mitzva bochur standing for his first aliya together with his father, and everything in between, Toiv Lee follows the journey not only of the Sefer Torah but also of the lives it touches along the way.

For those who remember fondly the scent of an old gemoro in a quiet shul between Mincha or Maariv, for those who recall with love davenning on a wooden bench that has been repainted many times over, for those who rejoice when they see a new Sefer Torah being walked to its shul for the first time, this is the song and video they’ve been waiting for.

Dear Jewish Music Fan

When we released the first ever JM365 calendar seven years ago, we never imagined that it would grow have the popularity and longevity that it does today. That is mostly in part of YOU, the music fans that pick up the calendars, that save them from year to year and that mail us from across the globe to send you the newest edition. So THANK YOU for your readership and thanks to all our sponsors who continue to show their support for a unique product and enable us to print this calendar and distribute it to you FREE of charge.

After a year hiatus, we are back with 14 NEW moths from August/Ellul 2018-5778 till September/Tisrei 2019-5760. For our sponsors this became yet another compelling reason to distinguish us from the plethora of calendars that flood our mailboxes every new year.

So without any further preamble we proudly present to you JM365 the 7th edition. It’s the calendar created especially for lovers of Jewish music…and those who love seeing them smile.

As you peruse its pages you may begin to wonder what happened to some of your favorite stars. Well there’s two parts to that answer, either the star asked us to respect their privacy or our “Board” felt that regardless of how successful a particular star is…or was, they didn’t really change the Jewish Music landscape as much as simply enhance it. Again we respect your right to differ with our superstar selections and we welcome your thinking on our thinking (just email us at 4JM365@Gmail.com). Besides as they say after the Superbowl “There’s always next year”.

The artists we DO feature in this second edition of JM365 (and before you ask, yes we’re already at work on next year’s version) is a very diverse mix. We go from Ari Goldwag to Mona Rosenblum, Meilech Kohn to R’ Benzion Shenker A”H and Netanel Hershtik to Moshe Laufer.

In any case, we hope you enjoy JM365 as much as we enjoyed creating it…and more important as much as you enjoy the superstars whose talents inspired us to do it. Speaking of enjoyment, one thing you WILL enjoy is using the products & services offered by our sponsors as every one of them is a superstar in their own right!.

Every year, thousands of people travel to Uman Ukraine to daven at the Kever/Tzion of the holy Rebbe R’ Nachman of Breslov. It’s well-known that Rabbi Nachman said those who daven by him in Uman on Rosh Hashana will merit to have great joy all year as well as ultimate salvation.

It was with this in mind that composer and singer Mendy Worch is releasing his third single “Rosh Hashana Uman” produced by the talented Yossi Tyberg. Mendy’s previous two releases Bunim and Kerestir have definitely got him lots of attention and garnered him lots of fans. But this new song produced by the famed Yossi Tyberg and arranged by the mega duo out of Israel – Eli Klein and Yitzy Berry, will surely show another dimension to Mendy that we haven’t seen before. Though it was only heard by Mendy’s close friends and family, Rosh Hashana Uman is already being hailed as the Uman Anthem for 2018.

Rosh Hashana Uman is yet another song that will be on Mendy’s upcoming, long awaited debut album due out in a few months. Now that Yossi Tyberg with his years of talent and experience has joined the production team led by the multi-talented Ruli Ezrachi, you can be sure great music isn’t too far away.

Rabbi Shimon Green “Where Everything is Love”

Rabbi Shimon Green sees music as a language that can express and communicate particular Jewish thoughts and feelings with an effectiveness that is sometimes difficult to achieve when employing the spoken word alone.

Rabbi Green very much wants to share those thoughts and feelings with others, and it is for this reason that he has been composing and performing music since he was 12 years old.

Where Everything is Love is the first of two new albums. (B’ezr”h, the second is scheduled to be released in the next few months.)
All of Rabbi Greens songs are about the Torah, the mitzvos, learning, prayer, the self, others, and the unending quest to come close to Hashem.

Dudi Knopfler feat. Mendy Worch: “Etzli Al Rosh Hashana”

R’ Nachman M’Breslov famously says, that it’s a big ענין that one should make a כרוז (announcement) about Uman Rosh Hashana. The idea is that everybody should be זוכה to join in the tremendous experience that is Uman Rosh Hashana. Dudi Knopfler took this concept to the next level by releasing an amazing new song ״ביים רבי׳ן אויף ראש השנה״.

This song came about in an amazing way. About a week ago, Dudi was performing at a beautiful Kumzits in Manhattan; and was singing and playing around with some new tunes. As Dudi was playing a certain tune, one of the crowd members, talented singer Mendy Worch, approached Dudi and was very moved by this tune. Mendy added in his own melody to help create this beautiful song. After a few renditions of this song with the crowd clearly this was something special. After such an inspiring evening, Dudi and Mendy sat down and collaborated on this song. Dudi chose this amazing concept for the lyrics with the hope that it will inspire the listener with געגועים to the Heilige R’ Nachman M’Breslov and merit Simcha Kol Hashana!

Song sponsored by: Plan It Rite travel agency, 845-678-3555, Uman@planit-rite.com, The “Rite” way to get to “Uman” Rosh Hashanah and all year around.

Song composed: Dudi Knopfler & Mendy Worch | Music arranged: Ephraim Berkowitz | Bass and keys: Ephraim Berkowitz | Guitar: Avi Singolda | Drums & Percussion: barak Ben Tzir | Shofer: Dany Flam | Choir: Yedidim International | Cover art: Yossi Holtzler (AdTrak design) | Video Graphics: Ari Lavy (Studio on dot) | Mix by: Ephraim Berkowitz, At Keybird studios Monroe ny www.keybirdstudios.com | PR and New Media: Bahazit

International Chassidic singer Ohad Moskowitz releases a single off his new album ‘Beshah Tovah‘ which will reach the shelves shortly. The amazing words of the Gemara in Brachos were composed by Eli Schwab and arranged and produced by Israeli duo Eli Klein & Yitzy Berry.

When you look at the words of the moving song, “When you pray, know before whom you stand, so that you may pray with awe and meaning, before King of all kings and masters.” It seems there is no better time for the release of this song as these High and Holy days of Elul which we all prepare to stand in prayer before the Creator.

“Every year, for these Holy Days of Elul, I go to the United States where I am Chazan in the San Diego community,” says Ohad Moskowitz. “The special words of the song that talk about the moments I experience, touched me personally and I connected to the song immediately. I am sure that anyone who feels the spiritual growth in the prayers of the High Holy Days will also connect to the moving song”

As noted, Ohad‘s sixth album is currently being released in stores, musically produced by Eli Klein and Yitzy Berry, who composed and arranged a large part of the album, along with Ohad himself, who this time composed not less than four songs on the album. other great musicians who participated in the album are maestro Yisroel Lamm, Gershon Friestat and Itzik Dadya, who produced the vocals.

The album release will be followed by two performances together with Itzik Dadya, which will take place during the holiday of Sukkot at the Master Theater in New York.
